A late report on the perfect dim sum lunch at @royalchinaclub the other day. This picture is of the table taken about halfway through lunch. It would have been impossible to get everything in. Anyway, some highlights: photo 2 is of perhaps my favourite (though not for everyone, I know), the chicken feet; pic 3 is of the utterly exquisite scallop dumplings; pic 4, the sensational glutinous rice with meat and shrimp, wrapped in lotus leaf; pic 5, the Shanghai dumplings (the ones with soup inside) with pork and crab; pic 6, vegetable cheung fun with many mushrooms; pic 7, char sui pork cheung fun; pic 8, a new one for me, and truly glorious, crispy tofu skin rolls with wild mushrooms; pic 9, the deep fried crispy onion cakes (bulging inside is a heap of fresh green spring onions); and pic 10, a plate of wonderful greens, Chinese broccoli, bok choi and choi sum. Such joy.

lialemonandvanilla Everything looks so good Nigella. Love chicken feet. My mum used to make braised chicken feet and they were fabulous. A childhood memory and very popular in Portugal as part of a kind of tapas (petiscos in Portuguese) meal. ??
