💡Did you know: Best time to rescue a pet is before the 4th of July, cause that’s when a lot of dogs and cats run away from homes spooked by the fireworks, so shelters unfortunately kill the unadopted pets right before to make space. 😓 Thx @vanderpumpdogs @wagsandwalks for letting me know. I’m not ready to adopt yet, but I know I will be a fur mommy again. I hope that if someone reads your posts, they go out there and adopt. It will be their best decision ever! _bebue_ Let’s raise awareness to the fact, that pets are scared af and run away because of fireworks. So people can protect their pet and there aren’t as many new ones in the shelters because of fireworks.

thematthewspeer I work at an animal shelter. We will not put any animals down before the holiday fireworks. I’ve never heard of shelters doing this. If it’s true that’s absolutely horrible.

miasaysss PLEASE tell your followers to go to a shelter!!! NOT a boutique adoption shop!!!! Dogs are actually being killed @ a shelter!!!! Get them straight from the source!!

lipmich Also around July 1 which is commonly moving day. In Canada thé SPCAs get flooded with abandoned pets when their owners move into places that don’t allow pets. ?
