We kick things off with our neighbor, Saint Thomas Church, located next door to the Museum on the corner of 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue. The publications department's Christopher Hudson says, “I have always thought that in addition to the brilliant acoustics that serve the choir so well, and the recently restored stained glass, the sculpted figures on St. Thomas’s giant reredos are fascinating. Not just the usual saints but, for example, George Washington on the right panel and William Gladstone on the left.
