It was Mike Gross - our original bass player - who came over to ‘run over the numbers’ - ie familiarise himself with our songs. It didn’t really work out with Mike - our styles didn’t match. So we went in search of a bass player, and eventually found .. a young Electronics undergraduate named ... John Deacon ! Bri

sammywaslow “Potentially good group”!?! My daughter is 10 and her primary school recently held it’s annual disco. You know the one - where all the kids awkwardly stand around giggling. Cute! The DJ put on ‘We Will Rock You’ and they came to life. So he shouted, “Oh, you like Queen?”, and then spent the rest of the disco playing Queen tracks. Sums it up for me. 3 generations later and a “potentially good group” rules and rocks like no other in history.
