I know everyone is talking about @アレックス・モーガン celebration... but actually I think it’s @lavellerose celebration we really should be worrying about. Can anyone tell me what is actually going on here?

I've played football my whole life, I can tell you there is nothing more disrespectful than a team that is condescending. I play as a keeper so I should now how painful a goal is. However, I don't see anything wrong with the celebration and most people didn't care, most British didn't care, it is in the end just a game. Believe me when I say men do far worse and get called out far less especially when in comes to football. As an example look at how people reacted to the celebration of the goals the Atletico Coach had and then how CR7 responded. Morgan had 5 goals on that first game and as the goals piled up she stopped making her own celebrations big. Nonetheless, people still criticize them, for being good, for being confident, for having fun. It isn't something life changing, as far as women football the USA team has done far more than anyone in terms of history and I'm not talking only about their achievements on the pitch but off the pitch too. I guess we need always something to be mad about, guess we'll hit the lowest hanging fruit. How about you feel offended at the fact that the final wasn't the only match scheduled for the day, how there were other finals. Like that seems disrespectful and you would never see it when the men are playing. How about we care more about the important issues like education and science advancements, no people feel like the most important thing is a fucking football celebration as it's common all around the world, there are far more offensive things that happen everyday. They are just having fun, in the end IT IS A GAME!

The US team has been on top for more than a decade. They’re just flat out good. As far as I’m concerned they represent our nation admirably and if they have a little fun celebrating- good for them! Haven’t any of you ever played sports before? That is- before everyone got trophies for showing up?! Go USA. I’m glad they’re having fun...and winning. Nothing they’ve done is offensive or overbearing . Geez. Walk the Walk Ladies! Go Red Whit and Blue Saturday!

I’m English and I literally don’t see the fuss over this... it’s just our British media trying to make a story out of nothing like always. It’s just a bit of banter nothing serious I mean I know that the American team take their celebrations seriously, I actually find it quite funny. A lot of us English people just think she’s smoking a joint and laughing about that more than anything

You guys are arrogant. Acting like downright pricks. None of the mens team do celebrations like these. Germany didnt even celebrate the sixth and seventh goals when they scored 7 in a world cup semifinal. Classless from a champion team - and especially a shame considering how good the USAs football has been.

@abbywambach what can we do to get replays of all womens soccer games? I could watch them multiple times as could soccer players to learn more and improve thier game. What can i do to help? Iam a basketball coach but love soccer. Former high school field hockey player.

@gabriella4git I understand @sophiet’s post from a few days ago- when USA beat UK, @alexmorgan13 made the “and that’s the tea” gesture. And apparently she got a lot of shit for it but Sophie approves.
