saw this movie way back in high school in std 7 at a movie house in a small town in south africa called pinetown.at time i did not realize that assault on precinct 13, halloween and this movie were linked by the same director but once i did i was a instant fan of mr carpenters work.

Over my Cousin's house in a small village in the UK. I would have been to young to have seen it at the cinema, at the age of 8. It was on VHS. I had a fold up moive poster of it already and a recording of the soundtrack on tape, from the same cousin. It blew my tiny mind.

As a 5-6 year old kid in 1989? My dad turned me on to your other work after I saw Halloween and fell in love with it. Shortly after my obsession with H 1-2 he showed me The Fog, Escape from New York, The Thing and Christine. And the rest was history...

I watched it as a teenager at a private screening at a house in South Pasadena. My friend’s godmother is Verna Rose Smith and they know the woman who did the voiceover for the beginning of the film. It was an interesting circle of friends. ❤️❤️❤️

I remember being very young and my dad telling me the story of Snake Plissken and his Escape from New York.. I was captivated and begged him to show me the movie! We then went to blockbuster and my cinematic life was changed forever!

@johncarpenterofficial your movies have been a huge part of my growing up. I first saw it on laser disc when I was 6. I was hooked ever since. My mom loved sci-fi and would take me to the movies if I helped her clean the house.
