This morning, The Duke of Sussex met with Youth Ministers from across the Commonwealth to discuss ways in which governments can give a higher priority to global issues ranging from climate change to job creation, mental wellbeing, education, and peace and security - all of which are defining issues for the younger generation.
As a family of 53 nations, the Commonwealth represents almost 2.4 billion people, 60% of which are under the age of 30. The Duke deeply believes in the opportunity to harness the talent, energy and intellect of young people throughout the Commonwealth as an overwhelming force for good.
As Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, HRH shared his insights and experiences from the many young people he has met from across the network of nations, during his first year in the role.
Quote from The Duke: "It’s up to all of us to ensure young people’s voices are heard and their interests protected, but it’s the people who have the power to shape policy for young people - all of you - that must champion them at the highest levels.” Photo credit: PA Images

1.The British monarchy have no real power. The Government holds ALL the power they are the ones who tells the queen what to do even where to go on state occasions, and other members of her family. They are puppets to the British government. That is why the queen cannot have her say about anything political, she cannot disagree, or agree with something she feels strongly about. 2.The role of the monarchy is to maintain the commonwealth union and entertain important foreign leaders [dazzle them]. 3.The British monarchy is the oldest and the most famous monarchy in the world, of course there are those who want a piece of the cake. Until they taste it, all they really get is to say they are in the commonwealth family, but they will always give and give some more to the British government. When any wants out it is members of the royal family not the government that is dispatched to these countries to woo them into staying. Nevertheless, the larger number of the commonwealth Nations carries deep seated resentment for Britain, they have been wickedly walked on, they will not forget; many of these countries are living in poverty while their wealth gets taken from their land to fatten everyone else except them...... You do not see any of these, and lots more because it does not affect you, so why should you care, you monster!

No it didn't because Britain is dependent on the commonwealth Nations for multiple reasons, not the other way around. Each member of the commonwealth Nations have been badly injured by the British government and they looked for their queen and she was not there to help them. Each commonwealth country will never forget it, it sits deep inside of them. They will not forget the names they are called, in their own homeland and when they visit Britain the cold welcome they get from its citizens. Yet so many of them died and is still are dying for the motherland. Why do you think I use the word quick sand? What I wrote have a greater meaning than most think. This is not about a race war, the commonwealth Nations are made up of people of every nationality. How limited in thinking for all who think this is about a race war. And there is not going to be a war period never said that either. Just as you mentioned Britain TRIED to become a republic, but it failed because Britain cannot be a world power without the commonwealth Nations. Once Britain loses them Britain's status as a world power is gone. And so will all her powerful friends.

I find it astounding in so many ways just how far the United Kingdom's "reach" extends outwards through the Globe! Truthfully, we here in America simply are unaware of many, many things that Britain does, the roles Britain plays in the well being of Commonwealth Nations! When working together, nothing can stop us!! Go Team UK!!

Wonderful sentiment and one we wholeheartedly agree with. Empowering #generationchange to mould the society of today and create the society of the future is our collective responsibility. We are proud that #ypi will do that for more than 35,000 young people in Scotland this year.
