And it isn't "her food"...I am sure that if she made bibimbap her way, another Korean very possibly could make it another way, potentially with sushi rice (which, btw does not necessarily refer to rice prepared for sushi, but to a medium grain, finely polished rice)...does this make them less Korean? The fact is that this dish is prepared in such a variety of ways that to claim that there is only one right way is ridiculous. It is probably incredibly difficult to source "the type of rice Koreans eat" as I don't dare assume...(God knows I would be lambasted if I dared to guess)...and I am sure no self-respecting Korean would use (God forbid!!) Japanese rice in their dish...it is about trying to make a dish accessible in order to encourage "white people" to try new things, because they might be intimidated by trying to find ingredients...so they are merely suggesting a familiar ingredient.

Oh man, cooking a giant “scramble” of things on an open flame in foil reminds me of summer camp!! Now if I could only remember the ridiculous name we had for it

Help! We tried it and 8 minutes the eggs were completely hard boiled. The rice got crispy but honestly could have gone longer. What temp is your grill?

Give you A+ for creativity on my country’s popular dish. Not so high mark on the pronunciation. BEE ? Bim (like Tim) Bab. Needs some Kimchi too!
