First two days in Chamonix are over. I took part of my first speed World Cup ever, made some satisfying times around 8 seconds and today started very well in lead qualifiacation, leading the field with two tops.

photosofjackalope @evgless Fritz Weissner once dabbled in speed climbing in the late 1930’s. He sent the route on lead in just under 2 seconds, placing no gear, and with Hans Kraus offering a daring hip belay. He wore heavy leather boots, and a hemp rope tied once around his waist for style.

brandongallant I'm a newer climber who was pretty weak before. 8 seconds is insane. I tried it for the first time and got around 45 seconds. Then down to about 30.good job Adam!
