Continuing to share my #PlasticfreeJuly discoveries. Working on my bathroom plastics today specifically thinking about the shower stuff. Reduce, reuse and recycle right!?! So here are my 3 versions of that for hair/body care this am. Im not endorsing or being paid by any of these companies. alishabrittani.life I use @tiberrivernaturals shampoo and conditioner bars and they are AMAZING!!! Hands down the best shampoo/conditioner system for me. As for razor I use an old school metal one. Learning to use it without dicing myself was a learning curve but its soooo much cheaper and i just love it so much. I use bamboo toothbrushes. Fair warning I used one too long and it literally started coming apart midbrush but it was also awesome to see it breaking down like that. As for deodorant im still struggling on finding a solid deodorant that can withstand some heavy duty sweat while low packaging. Btw, loving following.your #plasticfreejuly journey ?

singingchef40 I’ve been using shampoo bars since last year during #plasticfreejuly ; I’ve loved it. Still trying to find a conditioner bar I like. I did find a men’s shaving soap, which also works just fine. Interesting to see what people say about the razors!!! In general I’m using more soaps versus body wash, etc to save on packaging or am buying things that at minimum use recycled plastic. It’s also a small thing but I also make sure all my qtips are paper. Enjoy the journey!!

cinderella_oils I know that limiting plastic is good but it’s more important to save the planet by not using toxic stuff so we have to also make sure the stuff is pure organic and safe for the environment because if not it really is counterproductive. Are use Young living and sell it there is of course some plastic but we also recycle and use our left overs or the items we throw away cause it’s not up to our standards and use it make our boxes.

eloisesant I like to buy salon size shampoo and conditioner. I love and stick usually with @moroccanoil but at least they last me almost 10 months to a year, so I end up recycling plastic less often?? I haven’t given bar shampoo and conditioner a fair chance though!

amanduh012 Has anyone used Chagrin Valley Soap and Salve? They sell all natural soap bars that don’t contain sulfates. Was hoping to switch over. Loving plastic free July! ?@melissajoanhart
