The Trump Administration is delivering on its promise to redraw American asylum practice. Under an arrangement that is expected to be announced next week, asylum seekers from any country who show up at U.S. ports of entry could be sent to seek asylum in Guatemala instead. By law, the U.S. must give the tens of thousands of migrants who arrive at the border each month a chance to bring their claims before authorities. Under this deal, that will no longer be the case. @sactown_foodie well, you have it wrong! Our laws, defied by this racist creature in the WH & his discriminating, soulless, heartless #gop, are shoving aside our laws & policies by stoking fear, hate, divisiveness, discrimination. We need immigration reform, but not like what #45 & his evangelical gangs are pushing. Comprehensive, smart, efficient, financially feasible & non prejudice reform bills have been presented by Dems/progressive; however, the self proclaimed "Grim Reaper" @mcconnellpress and his racist, mob boss has killed them on the floor! McConnell promised, committed to not pass any proposals set forth by Democrats and why? Because he too is pushing trumps racist agenda. That's all there is to it! It's racism, pure & simple!!!

@eugfrancis Farms have a shortage of workers and can't get their crops to market since the war on immigration. There ARE jobs... Just not ones most people want. Cities are smoggy due to roll back of EPA regulations by Trump 'lobbyist' administration. Cities are getting congested due to rapid urbanization, which will only increase as climate change makes rural areas unlivable. Trump is against any defensive moves because climate change doesn't exist in his little head. Infrastructure collapses should be blamed on Congress... Only they have they power to get that done. No need to blame this on immigrants, our country was built by immigrants. Maybe read some actual news and science.

@sactown_foodie youre saying this about a man who used a loop hole to get his wife and wife’s family citizenship under a loop hole. Melania and her parents were granted citizenship on the claim they possess “extraordinary abilities” ... Having an affair & marrying a rich dude isnt extraordinary. What does she do pediatric brain surgery on weekends? Doubtful.

Political promises... I’m tired of political promises.
What about the crisis in the family courts?
House Democrats and Republicans need to look into what some family court judges have been doing to children and parents... #metoo #himtoo #shamedbythesystemtoprotect #nooneisabovethelaw

I've lived in 7 countries and a Tibetan refugee in 1972. Both India and the USA have been good to me. People don't choose to leave their country on a whim. Do you see wealthy Nationals in those countries leaving? They come and go but always go back home.

@eugfrancis I’m not french ?. And not everyone in Paris is rich FYI. They just have a free education system, great healthcare, holidays for workers so as I said it’s not like these people would be dying to live the dream in USA. The dream doesn’t exist.
