By now, most people have heard that Disney’s live-action adaptation of their 1994 animated classic 'The Lion King' is, technically speaking, astounding. And yet even those who worship the original, who will show up to Lion King ’19 in Pumbaa and/or Timon cosplay singing every glorious word to “Hakuna Matata,” may find themselves wondering: Why did Disney do this? HEY ROLLING STONE, FIND SOME JOURNALISTS WHO CAN FUCKING WRITE A BLURB WITHOUT TYPOS. You are an internationally renown publication and have become a complete disgrace, dragging what used to be a respected name through the mud. These vapid articles written by people without the slightest shred of journalistic skill are absolutely laughable. SMH

I hope movies like this will help the plight of African animals. We need less Americans, Germans and Chinese coming to Africa and killing our animals.

Disney made this to cash in A. & B. They needed to do a African Remake with a 90% black cast because ya know, everything is Socially Correct now

Lol all over heard is ?. That’s why happens when it sounds like Simba is gonna spit a freestyle & I love Gambino but this casting was aweful.

Beyoncé ruined it for me... should have had someone else play adult nala. The fact that she created a whole album as well was pointless.

It looks great but it's lifeless with how realistic it is compared to the original with it's highly expressive characters
