I can't believe how time has flown...it feels like just yesterday when I got the call that I had booked a possibly recurring five line role on a Netflix streaming series. I still remember asking my personal training client to hold on a moment while I answered the call. I remember being unsure of how excited I "should be" given the amount of unknowns with what I was walking into. This was before Netflix became the platform that it currently is, and I was still grateful for what I thought was likely a small role on a web-series that could have been two episodes for all I knew. As it turns out, it was one of the biggest hit shows on what became one of the most forward-thinking platforms of storytelling. And it was the opportunity to perform in service of brilliant and nuanced writing. # I am so proud of the stories that we got to tell, the people that gained amplification from the platform, and the culture shifting that took place with the power of storytelling. To be a part of something so unique and groundbreaking, especially for my first real role on a television show, is beyond anything that I ever could have dreamed of. And the fans...oh boy...I'm just so damn grateful for every one of you. Who poured your heart into the characters and the brilliant writing, whose passionate support made all of this possible. It's sad that the show is coming to an end, and at the same time, I am so thrilled to see what all of the beautiful creatives who have been a part of this show will do next. # Friday, July 26th marks the release of the 7th and final season of OITNB. Incredibly, Monday of this same week, I began filming my 6th and final season of 'How to Get Away With Murder' as well. I feel so fortunate, and filled with gratitude, thinking of all that is possible for the future. For all of the art that will continue to be created, and for the waves of change powered by the art of storytelling. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being on this journey with me.
