It was 62° when we left for our walk this morning. So for 4.7 miles, she talked non-stop about Thanksgiving. Pumpkin pie, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, the Macy’s parade, the dog show. All.The.Things. And then when she realized it’s gonna be another 4 months, we came up with an idea for a fast casual restaurant that serves Thanksgiving food. It’ll be called Everyday Thanks and you can get bowls or sandwiches (with a moist maker option!! 😂) We’ve got various turkey (and faux turkey) options, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dressing, green bean casserole, corn, cranberry sauce and gravy. You can also get a bag of Pillsbury crescent rolls (in lieu of chips 🙌🏼) Oh and plenty of pumpkin pie! What else needs to be on this menu?!?! 😋

There used to be a wonderful place near Seattle called Gobble, and we ate there or got takeout regularly until they sadly closed. This is an awesome idea, and I only ask that you open your second location in the Pacific Northwest because I need a Gob-bowl (exactly what it sounds like; everything you’d put on a Thanksgiving plate in one glorious bowl) like NOW ?

We used to go to a restaurant in NJ called Larsons Turkey Farm. It was a beautiful old farmhouse with animals and a gift store. They had turkey with all the Thanksgiving fixings. It was sooo delicious, served family style and it was all you could eat. Loved it so much!! Unfortunately they went out of business. I’ll definitely travel to your restaurant! LOL

When do you open? Do you take reservations? Can I order ahead? Do you deliver? ?? I am pregnant and due mid November. All I can think about is eating all of the Thanksgiving food in those insatiable breastfeeding days in the beginning. I’ll definitely be wearing my maternity pants as Thanksgiving pants a la Joey from Friends.

I misread this as you went to a restaurant that had turkey sandwiches with a moist maker. Reread and was disappointed this was not an actual restaurant. On another note- I happen to know turkey and dressing is the Thursday night special at Cracker Barrel.

What’s funny about this is that those of us who do food for magazines are deep into developing and styling Thanksgiving and Holiday food at the moment! Always during the peak heat of the summer when we should be all about peaches and corn...

Just make sure there are several kinds of dressing/stuffing to accommodate those from various parts of the country. I, myself, will have the cornbread dressing, please. So, when will this fabulous restaurant open? I'll be there.
