Palmyra Atoll National Wildlife Refuge is a remote area, located halfway between Hawaii and American Samoa. While filming the diverse coral reef ecosystem, the crew would encounter passing rainstorms. The beauty of being underwater during a storm? You never feel the cold rain as it falls, only the warmth of the tropical waters. Above you, however, the effect is unmistakable, as each drop that hits the surface shines like finely polished silver against the deep blue of the ocean.
