It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten to join in on a @surfriderla #beachclean, so it was a treat to get out there on this chilly Sunday afternoon! 🌊 🏝
I’m inspired and driven by the tireless @surfrider volunteers in our chapter and all over the world. It may seem silly to worry about picking up trash at one beach when there’s SO MUCH that needs to be done to combat plastic pollution and spread awareness about the threats to our oceans, waves and beaches. But doing just that- showing up to pick up trash one piece at a time - reminds me that the big victories must begin with a small, mindful effort.
So we will keep going back to the coast, spreading awareness, and ENJOYING the ocean we strive to protect! *

That is so good!!! The ocean is filled with trash that people just throw in there, not even thinking about all of the marine life! You guys are doing such a great job cleaning up! I support all of the organizations that help to clean the ocean 🌊😃

I carry a trash bag and gloves with me when I go camping or picnicking. My husband and I pick up everything we see. We pick up trash and cigarette butts everywhere we go. I wish everybody else would.
