This is my favorite way to work towards your first pull up! It requires only a pull up bar and a stool. 😁
There seems to be a myth that women can’t build upper body strength. If you didn’t learn pull ups when you were very young, they can feel impossible at first, but THAT IS NORMAL! You just have to stick with it.
It took my mom @ginnymaccoll over 2 years of consistent training to master this move, but she didn’t start until she was 62, and how many can you do now? 12?

Oh! I am so glad you posted this. Would pull up bands work in place of the stool? I've been using those for assistance but I don't start from the top.

This is a great tutorial! I just started but I can’t seem to go slower than 20-25 seconds, how do you go down for a whole minute?😅🙈 Just practice?
