Alliances between national and provincial governments and the conservation non-profit Conservation Land Trust Argentina (the Argentine team of Tompkins Conservation) resulted in the creation of the Great Iberá Park just last year, and nature-based tourism is becoming a new and sustainable source of income for many of the communities surrounding the wetlands.
