Whilst in Europe last year I was warned in a discussion with a British doctor who was politically involved in the pro BREXIT campaign, that The Crown is now certainly looking to exploit more profit from its Colonies, especially New Zealand with our successful & growing economic trade within Asia. Basically The Crown has carefully bred New Zealand for profit & our Prime Minister Jacinda Adern is simply a jockey, paid to ride The Crown's horse.

Another thing this doctor made me aware of was how long ago the EU was first established, further back than I'd realized, During the 60s to 80s complaints by British Farmers over the UK importing sheep from New Zealand saw The Crown simply stop exporting sheep overnight.

My grandfather Bill Bennett from Kohupatiki was Leader of the Maori Meatworkers Union at Whakatu & was several beaten on several occasions by angry Maori workers who were systematically made redundant. Most had left their traditional Maraes to be set up in cheap housing estates where they had to pay rent. My grandfather & many of these disillusioned Maori turned to alcohol. There also began an escalation in numbers joining The Mongrel Mob, termed by Pakeha & white media as a thuggish Maori Biker Gang but who by example are akin to Hells Angels, formed by Vietnam Vets who experienced being forgotten by their government.

A free nation built by Maori & then Pakeha, unified by the Treaty Of Waitangi is what New Zealand should be, not a servant to The Crown. Our full rights as Maori will only come by an act of self determination called upon by all Maori, present & united. It's not about hating on Pakeha or division! It's about gaining full rights of inclusion that will change all of the statistics that prove otherwise & make New Zealand an even better example for the world.

pselston After watching the video I am a little confused. She kept saying "the Crown", but NZ is not run by Britain. I know it belongs in the Commonwealth, but it governs itself. Kinda hard to grasp since we separated from them completely in the American Revolution. Can none of these lands be designated historical sites? We do that here. It is not always successful but many are now protected. Or, cannot the Maoris bid on the land? Sometimes if artifacts are found on a site all building must stop until a complete archaeological determination can be made. Just trying to give ideas to help😊 Once we bulldoze the past it is gone forever. I think you must be a lot like your grandfather, who also had a passion for justice.

kat_m_smith It will take a sea of people to make progress. The ones who hold power in this earth know they have armies and police to back them. They see and conquer. Leaving death and destruction to those who dare oppose. To them nothing is sacred but their own wealth and power. Change cannot occur unless people suddenly come to an awakening that we are one people, one race and unite to help lift each other up. Sadly I do not see such coming overnight or in the next year. Years of causing division and hatred has left people wounded and not open to accepting new ideas and changes.
