Tree roots, exposed and carved out from extraordinary high water levels on #lakeErie. The Great Lakes are presently experiencing the highest water volumes in documented history, resulting in overtly apparent erosion and flooding in towns and wilderness areas along the shores. Great photo! There's so much erosion going on here in Michigan. I live about 10 minutes from Lake Michigan and the beach I go to is reduced to almost nothing due to flooding. Glad to see this documented by you and @natgeo so hopefully we can raise awareness of climate change impacts!

We had flood warnings on Lake Erie this week. Because of the high water, any considerable wind from the East will cause flooding in the western basin. Lake Erie is like a big bathtub, water sloshes from East to West with the direction of the wind.

@ladzinski awesome exposure. I always enjoy your work and try and draw inspiration from it. Weird situation to be in taking a beautiful photo on a negative subject. Hopefully, more people will will realize how big of an issue this is.

I’m sad to see that the water levels are still so high at this time of year. It does not bode well for the coming seasons in. But if I take your picture out of context, it’s truly beautiful. 🤗
