A first edition of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which was once picked up for £1 (about $1.20) at a rummage sale, recently sold for £28,500 ($34,500) at auction. It was described as the "holy grail of Harry Potter books," by one expert. This first print run can be distinguished by the two typos: the word "philosopher" is misspelled on the back cover, while the phrase "1 wand" is repeated in an equipment list on page 53.
