There’s a common misperception about sexual assault. I remember when I first told my story with @Cosmopolitan back in 2014. People wrote on blogs that I deserved to be raped because “look at the sexy roles she’s played; the sexy way she’s portrayed herself.”
# The irony was that I did those things BECAUSE of what happened to me.
When I was a child I was taught that sex meant love. When I grew up all I ever wanted was to be loved. So, I thought I had to over-sexualize myself. Now, I’m a fierce, strong woman who loves to own her story and her sexuality. They ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. Let’s #ChangetheLanguage #StopShaming and choose to be our beautiful, shy, open, timid, fierce, playful, sexy, amazing selves because being ourselves is the only way to look shame in the face and tell it to Go F* itself!! 🥳❤️🥰

Maybe those jerks whould think twice if they get robbed of their computers and cell phones that they log in to those shitty blogs and then when they complain about security other people in other shitty blogs would just snap at them for showing it off eh? The fact that they have to rationalize such a violent crime is not gonna fly by, not by me, not by our generation. We are the #MeToo generation if you will, this is the time to start acting out against all these hypocrites and social terrorists who are either waiting for their turn to exploit prey, or terrorising through the low-lives who unfortunately found an opportunity to execute their poison will. The only difference between such criminals and who support them is the very unfortunate turning point in the criminials past lives where they were enabled, probably with the support of those who commented on your person, persona, career, line of work and most of all, the traumatic past and present who could very well had ended you up in the headlines as the worst of news. As much as I know you, the roles, the ted talks, interviews etc, you are someone who can only be looked up to and nothing less. A woman should never be made to feel shame because she is sexy, pretty or elsewise desired for some reason. I could only hope the haters could be as desirable as you, be it success, fame, appeal or else, then they would have no reason to be so violently envious towards you. I hope the best for yourself and everyone you care about, for all eternity. 🙏

I am glad you have overcome the evil that was done to you. That was not your fault and it will never be your fault. Sexy doesn’t mean sex they are two totally different things. That is pure ignorance when people say someone deserves getting raped. Nobody deserves being controlled and forced to that kind of abuse. I am sorry you went through that and I am sorry nobody explained to you that sex isn’t love.
