agabale Kids gravitate to what they see through their parents - this generation gets blamed but it’s simply bc the parents are glued to their phones, TVs, and video games. Why would the kids think they should do any different? Also, parents are now scared to let their kids explore their local neighborhoods at young ages, so they have no confidence and ownership over their own growth and learning through trial and error - getting hurt and getting into trouble is not a bad thing, but most helicopter parents refuse to let that happen, only to realize later they’re screwing up their kids long term.

portu_girl Kids too attached to playing footy on PlayStation, or just stuck on their phones rather than the real thing, not a problem in our house thankfully 👦🏻 ⚽️ 😅 @johnterry.26 . @ourpact.app is a useful and brilliant app for parents, it helps monitor and limit screentime. Literally all the apps you choose to suddenly disappear from their 📱at times you decide. Parents need to take more responsibility in my opinion.

charliet5778 i'm 12 and really bad at football, doesn't mean I don't go outside to play with my friends. Obviously, I Still play PS4 occasionally but I do agree most people near my age are too addicted to games. I always ask my friend if he wants to play outside, his reply "Can't be bothered, we can play later if u want"

mlond85 Dying grassroots, pitch fees absurd prices for very poor facilities. Most clubs tickets for young ones overpriced. Most kids think they're better off just staying in their bedroom, and I cant blame them. Hopefully my lad who is 4 wont be like that, he is playing once a week and loves it.

ralfeysussex Blame the parents for me. At least you use your position to make sure your kids are involved in sport. Even if parents are dead broke, cost 0 to take them to the park and do a little sprint session or something.

chantelle_allison This doesn’t happen in my household! My two boys love nothing more than being outside & playing football.. Too many parents let computer games do the parenting... 😟
