As ‘GLOW’ becomes a Vegas revue, its stars spend much of their time out of the wrestling ring — for better and worse. Click the link in our bio to read Alan Sepinwall's review of the Netflix series. Photograph by Ali Goldstein/Netflix

@edcardone I felt the opposite- the diversity of the cast was already there- it felt like a season 2/3 of orange is the new black which I felt were the best bc they dove into character development for other than lead characters. Opens the plot up to go so many more places than just Ruth and Debbie’s relationship like season one

@cullenpoole I don’t mind diversity or tackling social issues. I just think it was done very poorly. It’s a show about wrestling and apart from having barely any wrestling they just crammed everything they could to get cheap exposure. Hate crime? Check. Holocaust? Check. Asian stereotypes? Check. They can do better than that.

This show had heart but this season was just a forced advertisement for diversity with no service to the plot.
