We were all raising money for @sandscharity which was my family’s chosen charity. It was an incredible experience and I was so proud of everyone who took part! No one backed out and took on the challenge! Whilst it may look straight forward watching the videos, being submerged and upside down in water (and in the dark) was so disorientating and I’ll admit quite terrifying! It taught me a lot on controlling my emotions and mentally not overthinking things. @survivex_training we’re awesome in bringing the whole event together, the staff were fantastic in making everyone feel safe but being very open on the procedures on what you need to do if you ever had to ditch in a helicopter in the North Sea. It put into perspective what my dad had to go through when he flew helicopters for many many years.
