My headshot by @kirstenlaragetchell when a female agent told me I wasn’t pretty enough to be a leading lady, not fat enough to be a character actress, not enough of a visible minority but not white enough, her list went on and on. So I wrote the screenplay for My Big Fat Greek Wedding to try to give myself a job. It got terrible reviews, then I was nominated for a Golden Globe for acting, an Academy Award for writing, won the Independent Spirit and People’s Choice Award and the film is still the #1 Romantic Comedy of all time. Of course I was enough. Of course I am enough. As are you. If anyone ever tells you otherwise, walk around them and do your thing. Loudly.
