I’m also pleased for my good friend @kevmorgans who also has an image awarded, although Kev being Kev means that he only found out when someone else got hold of a copy of the book and told him 😊. He’ll say that he never received an email but of course we all know better than that 😂. It’s doubly pleasing for me this year as this image, awarded in the Coast and Marine category, also features on the cover of the accompanying portfolio book. I also want to give a big shout-out to my good friend @alexmustard1, arguably Europe’s finest underwater photographer, for winning his 6th category this year. If you don’t already follow his work then I simply can’t recommend him highly enough. This gannet image was captured at a gannet colony in Southern Ireland and is an image that actually benefits from the soft, muted tones created by overcast light and I look forward to seeing how it looks on the Portfolio book cover.
