I believe that being involved in sports, either playing, coaching or assisting will teach you valuable lessons which are hard to learn anywhere else. The same traits that characterizes a successful athlete can be found in many other successful people. Drive, motivation, attention to detail, knowing your own limitations and when to look towards others for help. If there is ONE THING I could choose to be my legacy once I retire from competitive sports, it’s not any of my accomplishments on the field, but rather how well I used the platform it gave me, to influence others and help them become the best and most successful version of themselves - no matter how they define success.
