The wireless device allows blind and visually impaired people to navigate unfamiliar terrains by using sensors. ISEF, a prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair, attracts students
from around the world. Though young women have been a minority in STEM sciences in the past, this year’s fair was evenly split by gender, a huge jump from just 35% in 1960.
