Hypnotic, disquieting yet peaceful images, halfway between fantasy and reality, digital technology and humanity: @inezandvinoodh ‘INEZ AND VINOODH Hi-Lo Transformers’ curated by @thebonamist, is the kick off exhibition of the fourth edition of the #PhotoVogueFestival, open to the public from tomorrow to November 13th, the entrance is free and you’re all invited! Here’s a sneak peek at the Room 103 ‘Me Kissing Vinoodh (Passionately)’ 1999, with the artists: ‘This work deals with the visualization of love and loss. Of one without the other. By photographing ourselves in a passionate kiss and removing Vinoodh’s face on computer, it leaves what’s left of Inez as a physiognomy of loss. To paint such a moment on such large scale makes such a private, intimate and heartbreaking moment even more dramatic.’ #InezVanLamsweerde #VinoodhMatadin
