The Autumn/Winter 2012 collection: “This show was about A Beautiful Future. Enormous, exploded 3-D flowers that symbolically come out to represent hope and the future, an overwhelming presence of hyper-femininity and strength... I wanted the dresses to have this undulating, rippling effect... to make them almost glide as they walked... The structure is, again, crinolined in the same way that the Sarabande dress was... with a boned crinoline structure underneath, and then it has the waist, and the bodice explodes on top...” - Sarah Burton.
