The tundra turns red, and at sunrise the lake is often steaming because of the temperature difference between the air and the water. I woke up early on this morning to catch the first light, but I soon realized that the stiff breeze would not allow for a good reflection. Instead of going back to the cabin to sleep, I decided to look around and enjoy the moment. While walking along the beach, I noticed a puddle. The depression in the ground where the puddle formed was deep enough to shield the water from the breeze. The magic happened when I got down flat on my belly and the perfect reflection appeared.
