'Tallawah,' the new collaboration between Jamaican-Nigerian photographer Nadine Ijewere (@nadineijewere) and experimental hairstylist Jawara (@jawaraw), captures "the pride and strength of the Jamaican people." On view in London's Cob Gallery, it's a window into the world of Caribbean glamour, while illuminating the many extraordinary details of everyday people. "'Tallawah' means 'be strong and fearless,'” says Ijewere. “These are strong women, some with their own stories of struggle, but the way that they hold themselves, the way they express themselves is so inspiring. That's what this project embodies.”
