March 7th, 2020: Three dives off the coast of Ventura County in Anacap, Channel Islands. I’ve been #scubadiving since I was 13, became a #rescuediver and it’s all thanks to my hero and mentor: My father. He has been my #dive buddy ever since. Water temp was about 60f 🥶 First dive was awful. Zero visibility. Second and third dive were amazing. The kelp forests are my favorite ecosystems to dive in. You feel like you’re in a different planet. Lucky for me this kelp doesn’t numb my body and I’m forced to get a blood transfusion from an evil doctor ( 😏 #lostinspace ) As you can see in the video, not much marine life which is heartbreaking. First time I dove here 16 years ago, it was full of sea creatures. If you spot the seal in the video, DM me and I’ll send you a “hug”. Great day!
