What worries me is that more infectious than COVID-19 is the rampant ignorance and idiocy that I’ve experienced and witnessed in just these passed few weeks in person, on social media, and in the news.  For example, when I was in California, I got into an uber and noticed my driver was wearing a face mask and had a can of lysol in her cup holder. I noticed her tense up as I got into her car. I noticed that she wouldn’t speak to me or even make eye contact with me.  Just yesterday while walking through LAX airport, a caucasian child looked back at me and huddled closer into his mother before physically pointing me out.  Then at my gate as I sat waiting to board my flight, a lady was coughing carelessly into the air and not coughing into her elbow.  THIS IS 2020 PEOPLE, NOT 1820.  A simple google search will tell you that unless you yourself are symptomatic or are actually sick, then by all means please wear a mask. Otherwise please stop wasting valuable resources that are needed by our medical providers.  I ‘d also like to point out that just because I am asian that does not automatically in any way make me a carrier of the virus. And please for the love of Britney cover your mouth with your elbow when you cough and/or sneeze. I should not have to be reminded by the PA system at LAX every 5 minutes to wash my hands with soap or to cough and sneeze into my elbow. This is ALL common sense!  The fact that poor hygiene and blatant racism are still at large today is more saddening to me than potentially losing my dream job and I hope that when we get to the other side of this that I have not forfeited damn good pay for our species to not have learned anything from this.  #GoingDark #CoronaVirus #Quarantined」3月16日 10時13分 - jeremyjten
