ナジャテ・ルカイルさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ナジャテ・ルカイルInstagram)「Looking back at my mum's old pics first thing I see is obviously how beautiful and stylish she was (and still is) but I'm also very aware of the fact what a difficult time she went through leaving her family in Morocco to start a new family in Holland, dealing with an alcoholic and abusive husband, adjusting to a whole new culture and language, living with the guilt and pain of leaving your new born baby in Morocco to be raised by your parents since there's no one in Holland you know and trust with your child while you raise 2 step sons. I can't even imagine the things she endured but when you look beyond the gorgeous hair and colorful outfits you'll see the sadness in those kohl lined eyes and it breaks my heart a little. I did not plan on sharing this but somehow a witty caption didn't feel right during this crazy time we're all living in.
