マリオ・テスティーノさんのインスタグラム写真 - (マリオ・テスティーノInstagram)「I have always been very inspired by a Spanish photographer from the past century called José Ortiz-Echagüe. The way he portrayed the traditions of his country were very personal and of a rare beauty. He inspired me to look for traditional dresses in Spain to photograph. I asked my friend Naty Abascal to help me source them and she found the 'Museo de las Alhajas en la Vía de la Plata' who kindly allowed us to photograph their dresses and put together a session for us to photograph in the town of La Bañeza.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ These dresses have inspired so much clothing over the years and I like paying homage to the original dresses themselves. There is so much history in their jewels including who owned them and what family inherited them. They have a life of their own.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Spain is rich with traditions and I like to celebrate them all. These particular dresses originate from traditional communities worn by their women: Maragata Soltera Santiagomillas, Alija del Infantado (León), Macotera (Salamanca) and Maragata Cassada Santiagomillas (León). ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣-⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Siempre me ha inspirado mucho José Ortiz-Echagüe un fotógrafo español del siglo pasado. La forma en que retrataba las tradiciones de su país era muy personal y de una belleza rara. Me inspiró a buscar vestidos tradicionales de España para fotografiar. Le pedí ayuda a mi amiga Naty Abascal y ella me llevó al 'Museo de las Alhajas en la Vía de la Plata' que amablemente nos permitió fotografiar sus vestidos y organizar una sesión en la ciudad de La Bañeza.⁣ ⁣ Estos vestidos han inspirado tanta ropa a lo largo de los años, que quería rendirles homenaje.
