Tomorrow. ⁣ ⁣ It’s a vulnerable thing to open up a side of yourself that’s so intimate and personal. The support, encouragement and wisdom we’ve gathered from our beautiful @yourzenmama community, is what kept us plugging away at this passion project despite how many times it felt overwhelming. The photos in this post document the whirlwind that was the writing process. ⁣ ⁣ Sarah and I split the book in half; she took on some chapters and I took on some and then we swapped to edit and tweak our respective chapters and weave in our voices to each others work. We were both juggling so much, it’s surreal to look back at the photos. ⁣ ⁣ My experience looked like this; 1/3 of my portion of the book was written in my notes app on my iPhone waiting out the final few weeks of Poets pregnancy, 1/3 was written on my iPad in the back of a small RV driving around America with 4 kids, my husband and my mum in tow and the last 1/3 was written (I finally got a laptop!) during the filming of @adiscoveryofwitches. I was shooting 65 hour weeks and trying to write on set, before bed, on the weekend, in the middle of the night, before work, on the way to work, AT work. ⁣ ⁣ Honestly it was the most tiring yet happiest year of my life and now to know that it’s coming out during a time in history where what we need more than ever is to just feel held, seen and listened to; well, we really believe it has found its release date intentionally. ⁣ ⁣ We hope our words carry you and speak to you, we hope that you derive a sense of connection and empowerment from what you read.
