This was the moment I saw our ski objective for the first time (not from a photo) and thought...”Wow...that’s a bit bigger and a little steeper than I imagined...and is that a 400ft tall hanging serac in the middle of our line...?” The strip of snow and ice in the left of the photo is the 7000ft NE face of Mount Tyree, the second tallest peak in Antarctica. The recent ski mountaineering trip in January to the big ice w @hilareenelson @jimwmorrison and @コンラッド・アンカー was one of the more daunting expeditions I’ve been on in recent memory.
