ブレット・ラトナーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ブレット・ラトナーInstagram)「I was asked by @Variety to shoot the cover of #VLIFE and be the guest editor! It was so much fun conceptualizing the issue from scratch! One of my ideas was to have film Directors photograph their favorite actor. The rule was that it had to be an actor that they hadn’t work with! Director #PattyJenkins picked #WarrenBeatty and I picked two actors to shoot because it was my idea #KirkDouglas and #AlPacino. I had Al meet me in projection booth of @arclightcinemas I was so nervous I got there two hours early to set up the shot. When he arrived I told him how I was on the set of #Scarface and how he inspired me because It was on that set that I decided at 12 years old to be a director. It was a defining moment when I heard #BrianDepalma giving Al direction and seeing him take it and execute that direction. Al said to me “Now is your chance to direct, where do you want me to stand?” One of the great highlights of becoming a film director was the opportunity I had meeting and photographing Al! I also told him that my mom was in love with him so when I was a kid she dragged me to an off off broadway play at Circle in the Square in lower Manhattan to see him in AMERICAN BUFFALO and we had first row. Al kept spitting on me during his performance and it was the first time someone had spit on me and I was ok with it because of his brilliant performance. I had as much enthusiasm for the photo as I would of filming him in a movie. Thank g-d he liked the photo or we probably wouldn’t of become friends! Happy Birthday Al!」4月26日 12時39分
