My time on DWTS has been life altering & what’s made it so special are all the amazing dancers who’ve been a part of this dysfunctional, loving family. I’ve known some of these dancers since I was a teen, long before the show. For the newer pros, I hate to age myself, but I believe you weren’t even born when I joined the cast way back in season 2. 😂 No matter how long we’ve known each other, know that it’s been an honor to share the dance floor with each & every one of you. I consider you to be some of the most talented, hard-working artists in the world who don’t get enough credit for the blood, sweat & tears left on the ballroom floor for 28 seasons. To say DWTS has been life changing doesn’t remotely live up to what this show has meant for me. Thank you to my DWTS family for always accepting me with open arms and for giving me the opportunity to express my true passion: ballroom dancing. To be able to say my job is to teach celebrities how to ballroom dance after all of these years, when previously people doubted that I could make a living as a ballroom dancer, has been such a fulfilling experience. I feel so lucky to have a career that allows me to share my purpose in life - which is not only to teach celebs how to Paso Doble, but also to bring people together every week and hopefully inspire people to get up & dance themselves. I couldn’t have dreamed that expressing myself through authentic movement, pure passion & joy would affect not only me but millions of others too. Being a part of DWTS for 21 seasons has been the highlight of my life so far (other than marrying my husband of course!) and it’s been an honor to dance & learn alongside the best dancers in the world. I dedicate International Dance Day to all of YOU – the people I will call my DWTS family for life. Thank you for bringing such joy into my heart & for always challenging me to be the best version of myself. I love each & every one of you so damn much!
