Today I’ve finally gained enough strength to post up this moment captured by @kvijaynathan while watering my plants the day before I was hospitalized to remove a brain tumor. I’m not one who gives much weight to omens but had a serene and peaceful feeling when I saw this dew resting gently on my Colocasia Illustris, knowing God will keep me safe while He continues to challenge us in our lives. So far I’ve been blessed with a good post-op results and top notch healthcare from one of Singapore’s best public hospital. Taking up plant care seriously has taught me to be patient, hardworking, resourceful and most of all respectful of nature and its ecosystem. Diverting my energy towards the welfare of my plants made me think less about my long ongoing illness and more about what I can do instead of can’t.
