As I take a moment and think of Memorial Day, I see many service members, Men & Women endure struggle, pain, even some happy times, but most importantly, a specific type of courage which very few of us will ever know about nor have to exhibit. I also see these people not as older people, as most were very very young when they fought for our freedom, sticking by their oath to serve and protect for our benefit of living out our dreams today. I later see family members, teammates and friends of the fallen, who visit them at various memorials throughout our wonderful nation.
Most with tears, flowers but most importantly with love, respect and pure appreciation for their contributions to our country. May us Americans take a moment and recognize those individuals whom laid it on the line as FREEDOM comes with a very high price and has never been FREE!!! @shuriecremona and I also thank those current and retired members for their courage too. I will leave you with this from Oliver Holmes who served in our Civil War. “At the grave of a hero we end, not with sorrow at the inevitable loss, but with the contagion of his courage; and with a kind of desperate joy we go back to the fight.” I pray we never have to ever fight but again I am thankful we have many who are capable and willing to do so for our freedom!!!
