It humbles me to think of this ‘fairytale factory’ that I have been able to enter every morning for 20 years with a new exciting day waiting ahead of me. My love for theater, dance and performance is growing every day and I miss being in a theater more than anything. Both as an audience member and of course performing myself. The moments that only exist in the live theater are the most precious ones for me. No words can describe the magical experience that is created when audience and performer connect and forget the world around them. Often in my life I have asked myself if I should rather use my hands as a doctor or nurse to be on the ground helping people suffering. And even more so during this pandemic - my respect for the health workers is huge! But I do believe that what we can do as artist is to help people forget what is happening in their lives - even if just for the duration of the performance. I believe art can help people escape from reality and bring something new into the world they live in. Inspiration, thoughts or a clearer mind. This is why I believe the art world is life-saving. My wish is that you will continue buying tickets to theaters all over the world so we will be able to meet in theaters when it is safe again. Please consider donating your tickets for cancelled performances to the theaters to help safe the artists.
