This was IT. • “If you haven’t started having those tough conversations, start them… There’s nothing wrong with talking about race. We have to talk about it. And ‘I don’t see color’ is not… that’s not a thing. We need to see color, we need to appreciate color, we need to love our diversity, we need to love what makes us different. We need to honor those things, and that’s how we’ll be able to move forward,” Kamie told me. • She shared how she’s feeling in this moment — being in the midst of both a pandemic and a revolution — her experience being a Black woman in America right now, and how it feels to witness the marches for Black Lives Matter across the country.
