WHAT REDEFINING POLICE CAN LOOK LIKE
At a time when there is widespread discussions about defunding the police or at the very least reimagine what the police force should look like, my friend, TV journalist Laura Flanders @theLFShow, has done this story for PBS about how it has been successfully accomplished in Newark, New Jersey, a city that went up in flames during the riots of 1967.
I know it’s difficult for a lot of people to understand what is meant by the demand to reimagine police and I think it’s helpful to see how it can actually be done.
