We told her that we appreciate that work but to please focus on the issue at hand. (Please sign our petition to the ANNA Shelter that’s on our Instagram bio link.)❤️🐾 This director/founder, Ruth Thompson, said this, "So I don’t honestly have the energy, time or finances to commit myself to a cause such as yours but since YOU do here a few things I would like you to consider: Lastly, use your time to lobby EVERY state to BAN DECLAW. I would think if I had the time you do – that’s what I would be doing. Going straight to the top – making a fuss where it matters. Putting pressure on those who CAN MAKE A CHANGE so that the rest of us don’t have to make that difficult decision." 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀😿💔 Dear Ruth, doing the right thing is not difficult at all. In case you aren't aware, legislators will look at the policy of shelters and veterinarians when deciding whether or not to end declawing. So YOU doing the right thing and stopping would be very helpful when the legislation begins. Also, it takes no energy, time, or finances to stop declawing and educate adopters about how declawing is bad for cats and teach them about the easy, humane options. We told you that we would do a fundraiser to get some brochures printed for your WELLNESS Centers and shelter.
