If my first pregnancy taught me anything, it was that during the 9 months you are pregnant, you gotta let your body do its thing and really trust the process as it stretches and transforms! Honestly, last time it was hard for me to fully surrender not being in “control” & shaking off the fear of the unknown jitters. Then I had teeny and now I know IT’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT! 🤣 This time around the things I am controlling are what I put in my body and staying active everyday. I want to help my body get that baby safely to full term so I’m doing my part 🙏🏽 ⁣ ⁣ I’m no fitness expert but I know I put way too much pressure on myself the first time around letting the voices of fear and worry rob my joy of working out. For me working out has become so much more than achieving physical goals - the #1 reason I love it is because of what it does for me mentally. It jumpstarts my day and I am so much more productive on the days I workout! In my first trimester I actually relied heavily on my daily workouts because it was the one thing that would get rid of my nausea! So crazy right?⁣ ⁣ I have been modifying my workouts but I’m still keeping up with my favorite guides and programs and it’s amazing how strong I feel. When things start to feel uncomfy or too intense on my joints, I listen & tweak it or throw in the towel that day 🤣 Working out has been a big part of my day before baby and I’ve enjoyed it still being a part of my day with baby! No shame in loving fitness when you’re preggo & this time I’m incorporating more pelvic floor exercises to help me during labor. ⁣ ⁣ Baby is measuring healthy and a few days ahead of schedule right now!
