We are still getting lots of mean, harassing, disturbing, and threatening comments and notes from many of @theannashelter supporters who are angry at how we are trying to inspire their favorite shelter to stop performing and profiting from declawing in their Wellness Centers. 😿 The ANNA Shelter even called us names when we tried to help get some of their cat's adopted. 🙀 Yesterday, one of their supporters sent an email with a graphic photo of a dead cat with half his body gone and said he's going to keep sending pictures like this to us. 😿🐾#TeamANNA In all the years of doing this cause, these ANNA Shelter supporters have been some of the most vicious, scary, and mean spirited. It's disheartening and shocking how they don't seem to want to join us and help protect innocent and vulnerable cats in Erie from this barbaric cat cruelty and abuse. (declawing)😿😿🐾 . If all of them would send Ruth, the director of this shelter, a note and ask her to do the RIGHT THING and stop providing the cheapest declaw in town and instead sell scratching posts, scratching pads, give nail trims, apply Soft Paws, etc, then that would help replace the thousands of $$$ that the ANNA Shelter's WELLNESS Centers make from declawing. . What do you think we should do? Keep going with this campaign or end it and hope that someday the director, Ruth, will truly care about the welfare of cats and not offer declawing services? . It's our guess that the ANNA Shelter is going to be the last animal shelter in America that performs and profits from declawing in their WELLNESS Centers.
