The mental wear of it has been a challenge I didn’t expect to struggle with. I don’t like change much so it’s all been a bit of a journey. I bet a lot of you can relate eh? I know so many of you have had it much worse ❤️ . One thing that has been SO positive about #LockdownLife, is Darcy. As you know, I share custody of her and find it really hard. Basically, on days she’s not here, I miss her! Lockdown has given us so much extra time together and I can feel our bond has reeeaaallyyy strengthened. It’s lovely because I thought we were close before but now we have this extra little layer of that makes sense?💪🏻✨ . I read somewhere, ‘If you don’t listen to the small things now, they won’t tell you the big things later’ and it struck a cord. I’ve been making an active effort to give her my fullest attention, ask questions, be present and be part of her world. We are finding so much common ground (Harry Potter, humour, books and deep discussions) and having such good conversations⚡️. . I’m proud of Darcy and I’m proud of us. She’s my mini me in so many ways and having the extra days and hours has been a gift💖. . I’d love to know, if any, what ‘gifts’ you’ve found over the last 100 days. Perhaps the positivity in the comments will make someone else’s day- and that’s a gift in itself right?
